I had the seat, breastplate, and bag for my 2003 Indian Scout crafted at Advanced Custom Design. I shopped around for quite some time and saw that Advanced Custom Design had the best quality. Not only did I get what I wanted, but I got more than I expected. Everything from the lacing, to the fringe, to the bone and beading, the attention to detail is impeccable.
Everything is perfect for my bike and my bike alone. I am constanlty complimented on my Indian and everyone wants to know who did the leather work. Alligator Bob is great to work with and made me feel moe like family than a customer.

Hi Bob,
Well all I have to say is "WOW"! The seat road absolutely fantastic, and everywhere we went people were impressed and full of compliments on how great it looked and were just plain blown away!
Cathy got just loads of conversation on the purse, it was unbelievable! And as you warned me, people could not believe the size of the alligator. I handed out all but a few of your cards, although it was fun talking with everyone we had to put on a few miles cruising around in the 80 degree weather.....650 miles to be exact. It was a blast!
Again, I want to thank you and your staff for all your work. The seat is exactly what I was hoping it to be, the final touch on my bike to push it over the top!
Thanks,
Tom & Cathy

After our trike was painted we had it shipped to Alligator Bob to have the seats and Bag made. Bob called and gave us some ideas in color that would go along with the paint scheme. Bob's suggestion of the Alligator and Italian leather turned out awesome! Interestingly enough he called back and suggested and then added color to the design and boy did that make the seats and bag pop!
Working with Alligator Bob was both an enjoyment and a pleasure. He and his guys are Professionals of the utmost.
We both HIGHLY recommend Aligator Bob!

If I had to recommend any one to design a custom motorcycle seat it would be Advanced Custom Design. I walked in Bobs store and I was pretty much sold, the selection and variety of exotic skins was incredible and plenty to choose from. I told him what my ideas were and he made it happen with no problem. Bob can get any size pelt that you are willing to pay for and I dont think colors are a problem either. With the help of Bobs great seat design my bike won first place best custom at the 1st annual custom bike show @ the Harley Davidson Museum in Sept 2009. Thanks again Bob for a great product!!

Custom Leather - Highest Quality
Nobody beats Advanced Custom Design for quality, style, design, fit, finish, and the pride you feel once your custom leathers are completed. First, “Alligator Bob,” and his wife are great to work with. After numerous telephone conversations discussing various styles, function, and possibilities Alligator Bob helped me decide on the final design. I then made drawings of how the final leathers should fit and look and Alligator Bob and ACD nailed it. From the lacing, fringe, conchos, braided horse hair tassels, and most importantly the perfectly straight, evenly spaced and symmetrical stitching, every aspect of our design was executed flawlessly.
I’m attaching a picture. Seeing is believing. Look close, very close. Then know this, my leather has been on my bike for three years and thousands of miles. If you are looking for custom leather work of the highest quality work and materials, Alligator Bob and Advanced Custom Design are, in my opinion, the best there is. See for yourself.

I had purchased a 1993 “Moo-Glide”, Heritage Softail Nostalgia, without the original Harley bags. Although there aren’t but a few of these bikes still out there, I wanted to make my bike stand out among those remaining few. I also wanted to keep some of the original look. I shopped on-line for bags but had a hard time finding the look I was after. I also had an idea for changing the seats and wanted both seats and bags done by the same company if possible. I saw Advanced Custom Design’s web page and was very impressed with their displayed work. I contacted the company and found myself talking to the owner, Alligator Bob. I liked dealing directly with the decision maker for the company. My time is important to me so I don’t want to have to play “phone tag” with an answering service when I’m trying to do business with someone. I told Bob what I was looking for and he gave me sound advice for creating the look I desired. I sent my brand new Boss Bags and my old seats to Advanced Custom Designs on Bob’s word that I would have them back before my next road trip. I was sent a drawing of the design I wanted for my seat with some ideas incorporated by Bob’s crew. I loved their additions to my original idea. I got periodic phone calls from Bob keeping me updated on the status of the job. He also called if there were any questions so that my bike would look exactly the way I wanted. When I received my shipment, on time by the way, I was blown away. The bags and seats looked amazing and still do. Now my bike is truly one of a kind and no one else in the world has my seats. I got the look I was after and great quality craftsmanship. I get compliments every time I take the bike out. As far as service after the sale, Bob included products to help me care for my investment as well as a cool seat cover and t-shirt. He also called later to see how I was enjoying my new toys.
My experience with Advanced Custom Designs has been a true pleasure. I wanted a professional job cause I love my bike and that’s exactly what I got. I’m not a big name motorcycle builder, a star athlete, or otherwise famous person. But Bob treated me with much respect and consideration just the same. I got the opinion of Bob that if you’re spending your money with his company, you’re gonna be treated right, period.
Sincerely,

I found Alligator Bob by surfing the web. I liked his workmanship, so I then contacted him by phone. He wanted me to send him pictures of my motorcycle, which we said we wanted the seat to be the same theme as the bike. Alligator Bob provided us drawings of different seat designs, he thought would look great.
We chose one seat his Artist drew out that was so perfect. He brought out the theme of my tank directly to that seat. He made it his own with the alligator and ostrich and gold engravings. Wow! How much Louisiana can we get! Thanks and what a craftsman you are..

Hi Bob and Carla. My bike is a 96 Yamaha Royal Star. It comes in the living room every Nov. and back out in April. I cut the seat down with a electic knife in 98 lowering it 2"and narrowing it 3"and dished it out. I had it reupholstered locally in black leather for 80.00. I sewed the chains on. Every year I do something to the bike . This year new tires and sent the rims to diamond heads to have cut. I saw Bobs ad in Barnetts mag. and liked his work, So I went online to see what he could do, we talked on the phone a few times and I drew up what I wanted done. Bob quoted me a price, (the same price my 71 Honda 750 cost back in the day so I decided to go for it!) I have over 60k in it now a little more wont hurt. He did the seat in alligator, ostrich, leather on the skirt and suds. I put the chains on.
The workmanship is excellent, the man can sew. Everyone asks me if the hornback on the skin bothers me, my reply, it makes me giggle and we laugh. Im going to Americade to show off Bob's work and put his cards near the seat for people to take. Thanks Bob for giving me a one of a kind seat.
